1 pkg yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbs oil
2 1/2 cups flour
cornmeal (optional)
Preheat oven to 425 F. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add sugar. Let yeast sit about 10 minutes (you want it good an foamy). Stir in remaining ingredients (in order) until blended. Beat vigorously, about 20 strokes. (I pulled it out of the bowl and kneaded a little more flour in till it was well blended....about 2 minutes). Allow dough to rest abt 5 mins in a bowl covered w/Saran wrap.
Roll out dough on a lightly greased baking sheet, sprinkled w/cornmeal (optional) . Top with desired toppings and bake for 20 minutes. (My pizza sauce was pretty runny so I baked my pizza for almost 30 minutes so the dough was done in the middle). Makes a 14" pizza. Yummy!!
